Location
The SCA Land tract is located in southern South Carolina, approximately 10 miles south of the City of Bamberg and 30 miles southwest of the Town of Orangeburg.
Site Information
- Within the Nature Conservancy Carolina Bay Portfolio acquisition area
- Property adjacent to Cathedral Bay Heritage Preserve (a pristine example of a pond cypress community)
- The northern parcel includes part of a bay' and the southern property may originally have been part of a bay
- Within Congaree Land Trust and the Lowcountry Land Trust
- One of the few wetlands mitigation projects for restoration, enhancement or preservation in the area
